Hit the Road for Charity During Mazda’s Drive for Good Event
In the market for a new Mazda? This holiday season, you can test drive, buy, or a lease a new Mazda and help others at the same time.
Yes, the season of giving is here again, and the Mazda Drive for Good event is back to help deserving charities as they help others during the holidays.
Recipient charities have been announced for the 2015 event, and drivers are lining up to experience the impressive new offerings Mazda brings to the road while simultaneously helping others in need.
How You Can Help
This year’s Mazda Drive for Good event takes place Nov. 23 through Jan. 4. During the event, drivers who lease or buy a new Mazda can choose one of four U.S. nonprofits or 46 local organizations to receive $150.
Additionally, for every test drive of a Mazda vehicle during the event, Mazda will donate one hour of charitable service courtesy of the company’s employees, dealers, and business partners throughout the country, with the service to begin in 2016.
Chosen Charities for 2015
The four national charities selected as the beneficiaries of this year’s Drive for Good event include:
- St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
- American Red Cross
- American Heart Association
- Mazda Foundation (USA) Inc.
The only Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated exclusively to children and designated by the National Cancer Institute, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is a global leader in battling childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families whose children are treated at St. Jude do not pay for treatment, travel, housing, or meals – they are enabled to focus solely on getting their child well again.
A not-for-profit organization, the American Red Cross aids disaster victims, supplies approximately 40 percent of the country’s blood, teaches life-saving skills, offers international humanitarian aid, and provides support for military members and their families.
The American Heart Association is dedicated to saving people from the world’s two leading causes of death: heart disease and stroke. The American Heart Association partners with millions of volunteers to fund breakthrough research, advocate for stronger public health policies, and offer lifesaving information and tools to help prevent and treat heart disease and stroke. Based in Dallas, Texas, the American Heart Association is the country’s largest and longest-running volunteer organization devoted to fighting heart disease and stroke.
Mazda Foundation (USA) Inc. is the philanthropic arm of Mazda, dedicated to giving back to Mazda communities throughout the country. Mazda Foundation (USA) is the corporate foundation of Mazda North American Operations and has given more than $8 million to worthy causes throughout the U.S. since 1992.
